Credit: Yesterday we had the quarter finals of Kieler Woche which they ran as an 8 boat round robin. Unfortunately we were not on top form and ended up in a four-way tie for the last place to go through to the semis. Winning against the wrong people meant we didn’t quite make the cut, and so had our 5th/6th play-off against the American team helmed by Genny Tulloch which we went on to win 2–0. It’s a disappointing result for us in the end but the first event in the Elliotts was always going to be a slightly odd one!
