Well we have finally reached home after a long road trip in the Transit Van back from Kiel and I’m afraid the final day was not such a good one for us. Going into the day 2–1 up in our quarter finals we were looking to win one more against Tulloch (USA) to qualify through to the finals however it was not to be, in more light and shifty conditions we didn’t quite get the starts we wanted and were unable to get back to challenge the lead.
An 8th place was a disappointing end to a good week for us really, but it has highlighted further areas we can improve on and we’ll get straight to work on them next week in training! In the finals Skudina (RUS) beat Leroy (FRA) to win overall and Tunnicliffe (USA) won the petite finals.
A few days off for me now which I’ll be racing the Quarter Tonner ‘Espada’ in, and then we’ll be training again towards the end of next week. Good to be home though and watch a bit of Wimbledon!
